I've had several sites over the years on page 1 - even ranked #1 or #2 for their keywords.

Hi Mike
May i know how do u generally created the aom sites?
(all my aom sites de-indexed...adsense acct. stopped by google)

Is it stand alone aom site?
+ how many pages of unique content?
+ wordpress? (AOM as main site + link to WP?)

OR is it wordpress as the main site + a menu link to AOM store?

i'd stopped building aom sites for now..

Possible to share or pm me 1 of your Worst performing site to have a look?

thanks

It's been awhile. I don't have much time anymore to work on my own sites. But they're all standalone, with no WP links. The home pages generally have a lot of unique content that I wrote myself. Plus I was very focused on getting the right keywords. If you have something like "#1 video game site", you're doomed before you start.

AOM user Amy Hutton wrote a series of posts regarding doing the effort to target your niche and get your keywords right before you ever set up a store. I think a lot of people forget that now. Plus, Joe Quarta ('jquarta') believes that it's a waste of time anymore to try and get Google to like your site. He has much better success with Bing and Yahoo.

Will search & refresh Amy's posts + creating some unique contents if i want to start a new aom site in future..

I was just wondering how's Joe's exercise's site doing in google ranking (as his site also dun have much unique content), now i know he dont like google too. haha

Joe if u see this, pls let us know if u managed to rank ANY of your aom site in google? tks

Traffic was especially good as a PR4, and yes we were on page 1 of Google! But all good things come to an end!

There are many stand alone stores (not using the API) that still rank well with Google, and with very little content! These stores either stock or dropship products! Google singled out Amazon's API, and in turn gave Amazon somewhat better ranking in their search results! I have noticed that some websites use Amazon aStores and are breaking ground lately because the aStore can be Iframed, and are being sheltered from Googlebot! I've also noticed some larger retailers with multiple sites and categories using the Iframe approach, which is interesting! Who knows the Iframe may come back in a big way!

Thanks for your input Joe,
U mean the amazon aStore in iframe? (interesting!) how the site with aStores rank? with few pages of unique content in WP?

Can i see example sites (with aom/aStores) u found that's rank on pg1?
and retailers site examples that use iframe approach?

want to study the best ways to build a aom/astore site..

Thanks

As far as using an aStore, here's one in all it's glory, complete with Adsense being used on most pages http://www.meshboots.com/online-boot-store/

The first thing I ask is where's the content Google? Check that site in a Google search, seems to be ranking well! I believe the aStore's do not use Amazon's API, but Amazon itself! They do share the Add to Cart though! Google targeted the API only! Thoughts?

the store PR0, using WP pinterest theme, may b + amazon wp plugin (but didn't see it, may b manual posting)

(WP) sites with Regular posts did help on google ranking. (don't think anything to do with the aStores, but did hinted that google did not reject astore)

If this site get manual review by google adsense team, high chance it will be banned.
(i got 1 wp amazon niche site deindexed b4)

anyone with WP site + AOM store with good ranking/results?

like to hear from others too..
