Limit the number category search results?

Is there a way to limit the number of product results that come back for categories? There are often hundreds of pages that come back when a category is chosen(good), but I prefer to limit the number of them.

Can you provide an example? PM me if you don't want to post it publicly. There should be a max limit of 10 pages, as with a typical category. The results may mention hundreds or thousands of items, but you won't see the majority of these unless you have the View All Items link active.

Hi Mike,

If you have a category tab called something like iPad 2 there might be 1,000 results, for instance. I would want to be able to say "only retrieve a max of XX number of items per each category tab search. I see ways to limit by filtering under Merchant Settings but I don't see a way to set a over numerical cap on the results.

Regardless of the results, you can only display a max of 100 items per category (10 items per 10 pages). Under the Search tab of your AOM control panel, you can use the Item Pages option to set a maximum number of pages less than 10, but none of this will affect the total # of items available being shown.

So even if you set your categories to 1 page each, if there are 23,083 items available, it will still say "Showing Items 1 - 10 of 23,083".
