Item Filter does not filter the item

Item Filter does not filter the item

Hi,

I received a cease-and-desist order from a german company becuase there pricture rights have been violated.
I would like to filter the Item with the ASIN number but it is not working in the control panel.
I entered the number plus saved it and then searched again in the frontend and the product is still displayed.

Please solve this bug.
Version 5.5 abd 5.6 show the same response.

You may be seeing a cached page with the item still showing.

At any rate, the best way to filter an item is by using a negative keyword in the Keywords box under the Category. If the ASIN is 0679805273, try entering -0679805273 to remove it.

Also, those nasty lawyer letters are sent by firms that don't understand the same item is being displayed on hundreds of thousands of other sites, possibly around the world. They should be referred to Amazon if they have a problem.

Hi,

it filters it out of the list in the category, but if you do a search it will still find it and display it!
There must be a way to filter also the displayed search results to overcome this issue.

Under the Filter tab of your AOM control panel, you can enter the ASIN in the Item Filter box, and you can enter a specific keyword (such as the brand) into the Keyword Filter box. If there is an uncommon word associated with the item (such as 'DeGrasseschmit Company'), it can help greatly.
