Very Minor Pagination Bug...

Post by developments » Thu Oct 11, 2012 11:57 am

...found in css.tpl.php v.5.2.1 specific to this line:
.aom_pagination {margin:8px 0; display:table;}

This caused a wrapping of the "Next" box when clicking through the page numbers due to the "Previous" box becoming bold.

This was ONLY noticed on Chrome and Chrome derivatives like COMODO Dragon. Other browsers handle it fine. This was checked on a number of different IPs and browsers. I also viewed the issue on AOM sites other than mine.

There's several ways to fix, but I chose this:
.aom_pagination {margin:8px 0; display:inline;}

This fixed the Chrome issue while allowing the other browsers to continue to display correctly. I also found that I needed to clear the cache after the fix to view the correction.

The other fix is to find this line:
/* previous/next/page numbers */

...and change "font-weight:bold" to "font-weight:normal", or just remove "font-weight:bold"...

I'm seeing the same issue in Chrome as well. The above methods work to get the page navigation all in line, however there is no margin between the page links and the dashed line - they run right into each other.

I've done a lot of customization so I might have opened up some space elsewhere, but you could always open up the CSS in another way:

Original: .aom_pagination {margin:8px 0; display:inline;}
Edited: .aom_pagination {margin:8px 0px 8px 0px; display:inline;}

...remember margin and padding works clockwise beginning at the top, so the above example would be:
8px top
0px (just plain 0 works as well) right
8px bottom
0px left

adjust as needed.
