Add Extra Site Head for Different Meta Tag

Post by SWalker1 » Sat Sep 13, 2014 8:02 am

Hello,

I will like to see an extra "Site Head" section in the control panel. I will like to have more control in adding different meta tags to pages such as Subcategory, Related Category, Narrow By Brand Box, and Narrow by Brand Box. Thank you. :)

We definitely need more META tag options for things such as

- robots for noodp to blocks search engines from using the description for this page in DMOZ (aka ODP) as the snippet for your page in the search results:

Code: Select all

<meta name="robots" content="noodp"
- geotargeting through adding country:

Code: Select all

<meta name="geo.region" content="CA" />
and so forth.

Of course we can add these things ourselves by editing file "header.tpl.php".

I feel a little dumb.

Noticed yesterday that in the Control Panel on the Site page there is a spot to add extra META tags and whatnot into the Header area. And I have been happily using it.
