SSL

Post by countitalia » Sat Nov 29, 2014 6:10 pm

I have just installed my SSL certificate on my shop; however because the images are coming in direct from amazon http site; it is reporting the insecurity. My own images I naturally can control by linking them as https:// locations. Is they any script available or work round to bring these images in securely?
I can easily identify the insecure items via https://www.whynopadlock.com/ but naturally have no power over them?
Any suggestions welcome.

Under the 'SEO' tab of your AOM control panel, is the 'URL Cloak' on (sometimes this can cause other difficulties, however)?

Otherwise you may have to see if you can somehow whitelist the Amazon images.

Hi Mike,
URL CLOAK under SEO Settings is on.
I do not think I would be able to whitelist all the different images coming in from Amazon as they change all the time.
Any more suggestions appreciated.

Try turning off the cloak.

I am also trying to make my site fully secure over HTTPS, or SSL over HTTP. The only reason it is not is because the images coming from Amazon are only through HTTP and this causes the site to show as insecure. I need the Amazon images to come from HTTPS and just changing the URL to HTTPS does not work. Any ideas?
