meta head section in creating custom pages

Post by sakti » Mon Feb 11, 2013 1:27 am

i created some custom pages with dreamweaver. i start with create new html so there are document title and some meta information (ie meta keywords and meta description) that must i type.

in aom control panel>custom pages i find same section too (title, meta keywords, and meta description).

should i type them twice both in dreamweaver and aom cpanel? or it's enough to fill in aom and delete this section in dreamweaver editor?

thanks for assistance.

It's redundant and generally considered sloppy writing to include an extra <head> section with all the various details. This goes for extra <html> and <body> tags as well. Helpers like Dreamweaver assume that the page you're creating will be a standalone, instead of included in an external shell that already has all this stuff in it. That's why I don't like Dreamweaver; you're better off learning how to write the code on your own. I do most of it with just notepad.
