Sorry for the delay. We've confirmed the problem when a subcategory is set to Blended. Coincidentally, the same problem occurred with a Category (blended). It has been fixed in the upcoming v5.5.0. Thanks

zuuzlo - yes that is the problem. On some servers the PHP sort tags <? work and on others they do not. So on certain servers it was interpreting the xml open/close as PHP open/close and bombing. Yeah - what I'm looking for is the raw HTTP error log message when it occurs. Do you or your web host have access to these logs?

Also, if you turn off ModRewrite, does the RRS still error?

We updated the SEO ModRewrite rulesets just this morning.

Can you make sure you are using the latest rules and let us know if the problem persists?

Strangely I cannot reproduce the error. What do your HTTP and PHP error logs show when this happens?

We have updated the mod_rewrite rules to allow for the hyphen (if the url separator is underscore) and underscore (if the url separator is hyphen).
