| Page Caching |
Leave Page Caching set to On to have your store pages load faster. It means that instead of calling the Amazon servers with each request, pages are requested once and then stored (cached) on your server for future visitors for a period of 24 hours. Once that 24 hours passes, a new version of the page is pulled from Amazon with the next visit and cached for another 24 hour period. |
| Cache Cleanup |
Page Caching requires server storage space. This settings ensures that old cached pages are cleaned from your server automatically and don't use up this valuable space. Setting this value to 20 means there is a 1 in 20 chance cache files older than 24 hours will be cleared. Setting this value higher means your cache will be cleared less often which can improve performance at the cost of higher disk space usage. Setting this value lower means your cache will be cleared more frequently which will leave more disk space available at the cost of performance. We recommend the default of 20. Set higher or lower depending on your store traffic and storage limits. |
