This section lets you fine-tune how searching works within your store
Display Search All Option
Whether you want to display the 'All Products' option in the search bar drop down box. If set to no, your first category will be the default. Note: This can be useful in situations where your store categories are under one Amazon category (vertical) and the 'All Products' results are combined.
Search All Products
This controls how the All Products search functions. The Blended option returns results for your store categories only. The All options returns results across all Amazon categories. Or you can set the All Products to search one of your store categories and also customize the browse node.
Search Within Results
If set to Yes, when a user searches inside a category, they will have an option to search again within those results.
If set to Yes, when a link will be displayed next to the Search button to go to an Advanced Search page.
If set to Yes, any user-entered search term(s) will be combined with the category-level keywords OR Site Default Keyword (if defined in Site section). If set to No, then only the user-entered search term(s) will be used. See our documentation for an in-depth look at how this works. Note: Setting this to Yes means you will see more focused search results, but it could also mean you lose out on sales if someone wants to search more generally.
As you type in the search box, related keyword suggestions are automatically displayed and can be selected.
Enter the maximum number of Item page links to be listed from 1 to 10 (10 items per page). Set to 1 if you don't want the page links displayed. NOTE: Number of page links may be less than your specified number depending on results returned.
Display View All Items Link
When more than 10 pages of items are available for a category or subcategory, a View All Items link is displayed which points to Amazon to show all item pages/results. Note: The link opens in a new window and includes your Amazon Associate ID.
Here is a chart of how these parameters work in conjunction with each other and what would actually get sent to Amazon in search queries based on how the parameters are sent.
