Control Panel - Layout Settings
 
This sections is a hodge podge of various layout customizations you have at your disposal

Alignment Select the alignment of your store within the browser window
Width Enter the overall width of your store. It can be a percentage (e.g. 100%) or a pixel width integer (e.g. 750). Note: Your store pages can still go beyond this width depending on the size of images you specify and the location of custom content boxes.
Column Width Left
Enter a width (integer) for left side navigation column (default 160 pixels)
Column Width Right
Enter a width (integer) for right side navigation column (default 160 pixels)
Category Columns
This is the number of columns used on applicable Category and Subcategory pages
Body Border Size Select the border size in pixels for the body content area. In previous versions this was always set at 1. Set it to 0 if you don't want to display the border.
Body Spacing Vertical
Select the vertical spacing in pixels above the body section
Body Spacing Horizontal
Select the horizontal spacing in pixels between the body and left/right navigation
Body Padding Select the padding in pixels for the body section
Box Spacing Vertical
Select the vertical spacing in pixels between boxes (e.g. category box, custom content boxes, etc)
Box Spacing Horizontal Select the horzontal spacing in pixels between the outside edge of boxes (e.g. category box, custom content boxes, etc)
Line Size In various places, separator lines are used to make it easier for the eye to break apart different sections. Select the size of these lines. In previous versions this was always set at 1.
Line Type In various places, separator lines are used to make it easier for the eye to break apart different sections. Select the type of lines you want to use. In previous versions this was always set to dotted.
Breadcrumb Separator Used to separate breadcrumb links
Bullet
Enter the bullet HTML to use in box listings (e.g. characters or even image references)
Corners
Whether to use Squared or Rounded corners for box and body elements. Note: The Rounded corners do not work in Internet Explorer.
