Control Panel Sections
 

The Associate-O-Matic Control Panel (admin.php) is where you customize settings for your Amazon Associate store.

At the top of the control panel you will notice a few links. They are:

View Store At any point, you can click this link to view your current store. It will open in a new window.
Clear Cache This link allows you to clear your cached store pages. Saving your settings will also automatically clear your cache so that your changes are applied to your store pages.
Enable/Disable Descriptions You can toggle on and off settings descriptions at any time.
Manage Backups Whenever you save your settings, an automatic backup copy of your prior settings is saved to a file called /aom/cfg.saved[TIMESTAMP].php. Clicking this link gives you the option to either restore a previous saved settings file or to delete a previous saved settings file.
Check For Update See if you are using the most up-to-date version of Associate-O-Matic. Clicking this link will open a new browser window.
Reset Login

Click this link to reset your control panel username and/or password. Once clicked you will be redirected to the login setup screen where you would setup a new username and password.

What's New Quickly view all of the new and enhance settings in this version
Logout Securely exit your control panel.



Here are the major sections found with the Control Panel. Some are required and some are optional, but all will allow you to fine tune how Associate-O-Matic looks and behaves:

STORE
Amazon General settings related to Amazon such as locale and your Associate ID
Categories This is where you define the categories of your store
Home Page This is where you setup the format for the homepage of your store
Merchant This section lets you control whether Amazon only, third-party merchants or both types of items are featured in your store.
Shopping Cart This section lets you turn on the built-in shopping cart. Not available in the LITE edition - see a comparison chart of editions.
Site Settings related to your site such as your store name and description
Subcategories This is where you define the subcategories of your store as well as additional related content boxes
CONTENT
Built-In Boxes This section details the various content Boxes you can include throughout your store
Custom Boxes This section details Custom Boxes and related settings
Custom Pages This section details Custom Pages and related settings
Currency This section gives you control over how currency rate conversions work within your store
Display This sections is a hodge podge of various display customizations you have at your disposal
Meta Descriptions This is the section that lets you control what's included in the meta tag descriptions of your store pages
Meta Keywords This is the section that lets you control what's included in the meta tag keywords of your store pages
Reviews This section gives you control over various review related settings.
RSS This section gives you customizations related to RSS inside your AOM store. Not available in the LITE edition - see a comparison chart of editions.
Search This section lets you fine-tune how searching works within your store
Titles This is the section that lets you control what's included in the titles of your store pages
APPEARANCE
Background This section details Background related settings
Buttons This section details store Button settings
Colors This section lets you customize various colors within your store
CSS This section details CSS settings
Images This section lets you control image sizing and your site logo
Layout This section details various Layout settings
Tabs This section lets you define how the category tabs look/behave
Text This section lets you setup the font face, size etc. for your store
Themes This section lets you select the overall theme for your store
OPTIMIZE
Advanced Various advanced settings which generally don't need changed
Cache This section gives you control over how caching works within your store
Errors This section lets you customize error messages for situations where a search returns no results and where an item is no longer for sale
Filters This section details various Filter settings
Reports This section gives you visibility of what people are looking to buy from your store. Not available in the LITE edition - see a comparison chart of editions.
SEO
(Search Engine Optimization)
This section gives you SEO (search engine optmization) settings such as mod_rewrite and adding item names to URLs. Portions of this section are not available in the LITE edition such as mod_rewrite - see a comparison chart of editions.
